I’ve decided I have Lyme Disease

Few doctors know much about it or don’t recognize it.

I'm Marvella. Back Pain Survivor.

I’m Marvella.
Back Pain Survivor.

It can mimic every disease process including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other  autoimmune conditions including MS, psychiatric conditions including depression and anxiety, and cause significant memory and concentration problems mimicking early dementia. It is called the “Great Imitator” and is notorious for inaccurate test results.

The insurance companies deny or limit coverage  because it could cost them money and require a lifetime of care.

The drug companies don’t have any costly drug “cures” from which to profit.

We have the best government money can buy.

Therefore, it goes misdiagnosed, ill-treated or ignored.  And this knowledge has been and is being suppressed.

But those who have it know it’s real. And those who have it are left to work it out for themselves.

And it could be crawling around in a body near you.

This is the unspoken epidemic of today and tomorrow.

You may have it and not know it. It can come & go for years, eventually causing arthritis, heart problems, dibilitating pain, paralysis and more.

Contrary to popular propoganda, you don’t need a “bull’s eye” rash to have it. Between 40% & 60% of those inflicted never had a rash. You also don’t need to be bitten by a tick. It could be a mosquitoe, a pet, a spouse, bird, rodent, or child birth that initiates it. It can be caught in the city or the country. It’s everywhere, folks. More prevalent in the northeast, but spreading.

“Coming soon to a town near you!”

The symptoms are varied and mimic other diseases. Many who have been diagnosed as having MS, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer actually have Lyme’s. It attacks the immune system, leaving you more vulnerable to other diseases.

Some of the symptoms are: (You can have any combination of these.)

 unexplained fevers, sweats, chills

Breathlessness, “air hunger”, unexplained chronic cough

fatigue, tiredness, poor stamina

Unexplained weight gain

Unexplained weight loss

Unexplained hair loss

You might say, well that could describe something/anything else, but add them up.  How many do you have?

The current standard test for Lyme Disease is called the Elisa Test. Known for it’s inaccuracy & false negatives. Testing for Lyme is still poor, with a false negative rate of about 40%. If you’ve had a previous negative test, there is still ~ 40% chance that you have Lyme.  And most doctors use this test, then declare their job is done, if it comes back negative.  If positive, they prescribe antibiotics; or call it a “false-positive.”  Antibiotics have helped some, especially if caught early. But, antibiotics have hurt others.  They kill everything–even the good guys. And have encouraged candida.

But, Lyme organisms can exist in three different forms (cyst, spirochete and L-form) so they are really very good at hiding from antibiotics.

There is a more reliable test called the Western Blot. And a well respected lab called IGeneX available, but few doctors are informed or educated enough to use these resources.

Many victims of this disease have taken the natural route by taking strong herbs to try to kill these critters who reside inside eating your inners. What is called Lyme disease usually includes more than one invader with big names like Bartonella, Rickettsia, Ehrlichia and Babesia. Borrelia burgdorferi is specific to the tick and Lyme, but is usually accompanied by friends, “fellow feeders.” Different herbs kill different bugs. Diet is also very important. They love sweets.

Eat sweet and make them happy.

These could be some of your very near neighbors.

Healing Self

 Some of my floating thoughts:

What is the nature of faith healing? What part is due to the healer and what part to the healed? Where does that healer get that energy that they distribute or transfer?

God” is too easy an answer

There are intermediary steps and we are intermediaries on some level.

If Jesus incarnated to show us our potential as “God’s children”, and if we are all God’s children, with that little bit of divinity within us, then may not we all have healing abilities?

But, besides Christianity, whatever, whoever, you consider just a step above yourself be it pure energy, the universe, the soul.  This still applies.

The question is how do we tap into that healing ability. After all, we are all just little bundles of condensed energy.

I admit there are limitations to our healing ourselves in all situations, but we can give a big assist to our health, healing, well-being by considering some of the following.

First we need to stop poisoning ourselves with “fake food”, which is most of what we are eating these days.

We need “clean food”, free of poisonous pestisides. Stop the sugar! And the “artificial” sweeteners.

Next we need to “believe”. Even if we don’t understand the mechanisms that go into healing ourselves, we can open ourselves up to the possibility. (Remember the placebo effect.) We need to take back some of the power we have given away to the medical establishment. Maybe we can become “miracles of science.”  😯

I think raising our level of vibration through certain music and movements is another step in the healing process, while directing conscious healing thoughts to the problem at hand.

We need to open ourselves up to our unconscious powers, and allow our Higher Selves an opening to come in and clean up.

Breathe. Drink clean water. Clean ourselves of rampant toxins. Relax. Love ourselves. Have faith. Heal.

Placebo Effect

For those in doubt of our self-healing abilities, what about the placebo effect,

recognized by all the medical establishment.?

I'm Marvella. Back Pain Survivor.

If those in the control group show signs of healing without the actual drug being tested being administered, then

didn’t they somehow heal themselves?

The placebo effect points to the importance of perception and the brain’s role in physical health.” (Wikipedia)

A placebo described as a muscle relaxant will cause muscle relaxation and, if described as the opposite, muscle tension. A placebo presented as a stimulant will have this effect on heart rhythm, and blood pressure, but, when administered as a depressant, the opposite effect.” (wikiepedia)

So what is the placebo effect, but people affecting their own healing? Doctors triggering our unconscious healing powers. I believe we can enhance that ability.

First by acknowledging it.

Don’t be shy.
